Outcast from 1999 is officially continued, with Outcast 2 – A New Starting for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X / s. A release date was not mentioned by Publisher THQ Nordic. The game is developed by the Appeal Studios from Belgium. In the studio, ten people who were already involved in the first part work underneath the Art Director and the composer. The production started at the end of 2018. Currently the project is in the alpha phase.
Outcast 2 – A New Beginning will treat the exploitation and destruction of an alien world thematically. Cutter Slade, the main character from its predecessor (synchronizer speaker is still unclear; Original: Manfred Lehmann), will once again pay a visit to the planet Adelpha. The game is again an action adventure from the tracker perspective for single players based on the Unreal Engine 4. The developers think that you do not have to know the predecessor.
THQ Nordic: The friendly invador hunter from the neighborhood is back. (…) Twenty years after the events of the first game, Adelpha is threatened today by invaders: a daily robot army exposes the planet, enslaves its residents and even goes over corpses. Cutter s order is clear: he must organize a resistance that residents rescue and miss the invaders a strong (…) kick!
The game world will be greater than in its predecessor and should be much more vertical, which is why Cutter Slade can use a jetpack. In the fight, he leads a modular weapon system into the field, which should provide a lot of diversity. The talent system should enable magical super forces if you want. But even the exploration should continue to play a major role. You will e.g. find out where the women and the children have stayed down, who were disappeared without a trace in the first part. In general, history should not be shaped by black and white thinking.
