Team Liquid wins Shopify and is at the Valorant Champions Tour: Game Changers final
This week, the Valorant Champions Tour: Game Changers, Valorant World Championship dedicated exclusively to women and non-binary players.
Riot Games’s first female FPS World Cup is happening in Berlin, Germany. The main event, which started with the quarterfinals, has eight teams competing for the $180,000 prize.
On the afternoon of last Wednesday (16), the azilian team that represents Team Liquid debuted with victory and moved to the semifinals against the American team Shopify Rebellion, in a series that was postponed to Thursday (17).
Team Liquid’s azilian women won the conflict by 2×1. The team’s next game will be against the G2 Dozen players, in a series that is scheduled to take place this Friday (18), from 15h (asília time).

In the first match of the series, the teams were with identical compositions to compete in Fracture. The azilian, who started attacking, find it difficult to cross the barriers made by the rivals around the bomb A, which makes Shopify out ahead.
After understanding that the rivals were playing more advanced in defense, the azilian began to play with a little more calm in the attack, but were becoming easy targets.
Although they were able to plant Spike several times, Team Liquid failed to contain the Plant area, which made the first half end with a 7×5 score for Shopify.
With the turn of sides, however, the azilian team managed to tie the game with a good initial performance in defense. However, the first half error correction was not enough to prevent Shopify from returning to the game after the first armed.
Before Team Liquid could react again, the defeat in an economic round of rivals took Shopify directly to Match point, so the first map was in the US team’s account.

In the second map, choosing the Shopify team, the azilian began defending and got a good advantage over the rivals. With a composition full of tracking and vision skills, Team Liquid can prevent the US team from positively firing on the score as strikers.
With the exchange of sides starting draw, both teams play with great confidence in their compositions. Shopify’s defense, although quite strong, has eaches that are exploited by the rotation of the azilian attack.
Knowing that rivals use many of their skills to have vision at the beginning of the round, Team Liquid plays more cautiously to fool the American team and turn the game.
Repeating the timeline of the first match, azilian women saw the score for 10×9, but the enemy team surrounds the strikers and gets two consecutive points while abusing their straight force.
This way, Shopify Rebellion reaches the second match point of the series and forces TL to ask for a eak. After the quick conversation, azilians decide to advance to side B and push the decision to overtime.
For Overtime’s first round, Team Liquid is in great positions to prevent rivals from being able to act on either side. Then the team can keep the pace and ensure their first map of the series.

In the last map of the series, the azilian begins defending and with victory: in the first round, the player BSTRDD gets four slaughter added with Spike’s disarming, allowing Team Liquid to come with better weapons for the second round.
Shopify’s first hits came after the team decided to get aggressively into the spike site on side, leaving TL without recovery power. Unlike other games, however, azilians can keep the distance from the score of at least 3 rounds until the beginning of the second half.
With evidently more confidence than in the antecedent maps, Team Liquid conquers Match point while easily advanced to side A. Following the same attack model, the azilian run over the rivals and beat the match, qualifying for the top final.
